While most health buffs and weight loss fanatics found NBC’s hit reality show “The Biggest Loser” as exciting and motivational, many critics from the medical field found it a health risk for viewers who will be encouraged to accomplish the same things contestants did.
All too many times did we see participants pushing themselves to their limit just to hit their target weight of, say, 34 pounds less in just one week!
True enough, health-related incidents hounded the show a couple of times. Two heavyweight participants, for example, collapsed during a 1.6 kilometer race. This is enough proof for some critics that the show is counterproductive, at best. Producers, on the other hand, are assuring all concerned parties that their activities are done under the strictest medical supervision.
Physicians and nutritionists advocate a slow yet steady pace of exercise, combined with a restricted yet balanced diet. Reading a Capsiplex review made me conclude that it is even a lot safer to lose weight quickly by complementing your exercise with safe and clinically proven supplements rather than engaging in a shorter yet faster pace of exercise routines.
