Amazon Rumoured to Release Two Tablet PCs

There had been an unstoppable flow of rumours about the tablets that Amazon would be releasing by this year 2011. Actually the very secretive company are still not confirming or denying any of the rumours, but some people that are quite informed by the activities of the company are really confident about the possibility that the company would release their very own tablets anytime soon. And actually the people say that they would be releasing two items that would really amaze users with its quality and performance.

The first one that is rumoured to be released is the Hollywood Amazon tablet, this item is said to be the perfect gadget for your entertainment needs. With its NVidia Kal-El quad core chipset the performance of this gadget would be increased by 500% so it would be working far more superior compared to the other items that are out in the market right now. And it is also said to have a very big screen so that you could enjoy the movies that you want to watch, the resolution of this gadget would also be better compared to iPad 2 which is another thing to be excited about. The other tablet that is rumoured to be released by Amazon is the Coyote Amazon Tablet, this one is said to be the real kindle colour that the avid fans of Kindle are waiting for. It would have the NVidia Tegra 2 to take care of its processing, so a user is ensured of great performance. It is also rumoured to already have a LCD technology which a lot of people are really waiting for.

The manufacturers of the said future tablet devices of Amazon would be Quantum Computers, and some people even say they would need up to 700,000 to 800,000 tablets to be shipped when they are already on the peak of their production. We just hope that this possibility would turn into reality this year because we are surely excited to get our hand on these new Amazon tablets.

As a consultant to many organizations across the state, I have been going into these workplaces and evaluation the productions of many lower level employees.  It seems that the productivity rates have dropped at many of my clients organizations due to the fact that employees would rather engage on social media networking websites instead of using the company time and money to actually be productive and get work done.  This has costs many of my clients thousands of dollars, so upon my recommendation they have decided to put  media monitoring on their computer systems.  These media monitoring tools will be placed inside of each employee’s computer, and it will track whatever website that they log into as well as the amount of time that they spend on these sites.  The organization will then gather unique information on each individual employee in order to measure their productivity as well as what they are doing on company time.

Technical Support As One of the Easier Jobs

I have a lot of friends in the call center industry. Some of them are in customer service, some are in sales, and some are in technical support. One of the easier jobs is to be actually a technical support representative. If you just have enough product knowledge, you could solve a customers problem in minutes! Especially in the technical support for pcs like Dell, Toshiba, Microsoft, etc., they get to resolve simple problems quite quick as most callers have unsophisticated questions or problems only. Some of those problems may include questions like how to connect one computer to another computer, how to connect it to the internet, why is my outlook not sending any emails, my wireless router is not blinking these and many more are simpler problems to solve. But there are also problems that do not have solutions. There are some internet connection related problems that until now could not be resolved by internet service providers. It has something to do with mapping or giving out an IP address for that particular computer, but for some reason or another, it does not get recognized by the servers.

But It is Wii-ly Good!

It really irks me that an old friend of mine never plays with his Nintendo Wii. Despite owning a draw full of Wii games and accessories (as well as the audio speaker deck) the console simply never sees the light of day and is instead, gathering dust! I have had a number of his games for almost a year now and there has been no request to get these back off of me, which just serves to show how uninterested in the console he is!

It is like he wanted to show all of his peers that he could simply afford one…well, it is not like he bought it to demonstrate what a hardcore gamer he is or he would have got himself an Xbox 360, or a PS3 at the very least! I wish he would let me take it off of his hands. As a trainee teacher he really is never going to find the time to re-fall in love with it!

An Old Friend

Remembering the good old days is really not that a good experience for when you take a trip down memory lane it would sure send you back to your past. And the sad thing about it is that it is only a memory and that you can’t go back to it even if you want to. You’ll only miss the group whom you used to laugh and spend time with. And now those people are not at close proximity to you. I remember that I had a cell phone number of this one friend way back but I’m not sure if she is still using this number for it had been years. The CoD Price War

Tesco could well kick of a UK price war shortly, due to their decision to undercut the prices charged by other retailers for the soon to be released Call of Duty: Black Ops game. It was revealed in the Metro newspaper today (via a massive advert paid for by Tesco) that supermarket Tesco are now accepting pre orders of the game for a charge of just £39.90 – quite a bit cheaper than Activision’s recommended retail price of £55.

For purposes of comparison; ASDA (the UK Walmart) are charging £44.91 and at both games retailer GAME and electronic entertainment distributor HMV, the cost is £44.99. It will be interesting to see whether or not the more expensive prices tumble down in the wake of Tesco’s announcement.

The game – which is expected to be the highest selling game ever – is due for release on November 9th from a wide selection of retailers and is available in Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii formats.

Chrome OS

It seems like Google have lost site of their Chrome OS, with barely any news on the mobile operating system since it was announced, never making it to any netbook reviews.

During Google CEO Eric Schmidt’s talk at IFA this year, Schmidt only briefly mentioned Chrome OS to quell rumours that Chrome OS would be coming to tablet PCs. Google’s reasoning for this being that they don’t want to step on android’s toes by making two operating systems for the same market, something many google followers had fears may happen.

Of course Google have thought about what may happen, Chrome OS is after all an open source operating system and we will no doubt see ports of the mobile OS to table devices, Schmidt states that he is expects this to happen and aims to see how it will play out. But with Android 3.0 around the corner, with specific tablet optimisation I’m sure Chrome wont last long on tablets.
